MINISTER
Our minister is the Rev Charlotte Lorimer. She started her ministry with us in September 2008 and as well as Honley has charge of two other Methodist churches- Holmfirth and Hade Edge.
Rev Lorimer was trained as a nurse. After qualifying she became a neuro-theatre sister and then a district midwifery sister. Prior to entering the Methodist ministry in 1998, she worked in a hospice in the Northwest of England and then was based at Manchester Central Mission. There she was appointed a part time prison chaplain at Strangeways jail and also had responsibility for a satellite church of the mission.
